Hi blog, it's Kat. My group members officially agreed to do our film opening based on a rom-com. We have brainstormed some ideas about how the opening will commence and in class we watched some samples that really inspired us. We like the idea of doing a short montage of the filming location we choose. Kind of like an establishing shot but there will be multiple, from different perspectives. We will find the time during the weekend that works for all of us to come together and film. We have decided that we want to use outside actors for this project. Our last big project in class was to make a music marketing and distribution campaign which included creating a music video. It was a rock music video in which I was the lead. It definitely forced me out of my comfort zone and I surprisingly enjoyed it, but I have decided to retire my acting career and choose someone else to have the spotlight. My partner and I have a mutual friend who also takes this media course. She and our other friend Justin will play the aspiring couple in our production. We are not sure exactly the plot of our opening yet but we are on the verge of something good. Like always, I will keep you posted blog!
